kathmandu hits you like a cold breeze, waking up every
sense you have in your body. the sheer carpetry
of
this city, with its insane mesh of alleyways,
small
temples tucked in every available inch of space,
friendly smiles, cheap food and the looming stare
of
the himalayas watching you from every side. it is
indeed a most amazing and mysterious place. i
have
never been so enamoured by a place after having
been
here but a day. my heart is lost.
i will be here a week, soaking in every corner of
this
insanity.. then off to pokhara to the silence of
lakes
and the annapurna mountain range to wake to every
morning, displayed in the glorious relfection of
the
lake beneath your hotel room. it will be a joy,
and
one that i will write about.
